kids toys storage in the living room?

We currently have the Ikea trofax boxes to store kids' toys but feeling like an upgrade. How do you store your kids' toys that are in the living room? Ours are still pre-schoolers so most of their toys are downstairs and we need to be able to pack them away for the night. How do you store yours?

Alcove shelves for puzzles, games, smallish things. Under the bottom shelf we have storage cubes. And for bulky things (mega bloks, duplo etc) a big storage ottoman which doesn't look like toy storage so it's good for the living room: www.johnlewis.com/kvell-trae-storage-ottoman-light-grey/p5949752

IKEA kallax with the hard plastic boxes in them. They're strong, hold a lot and look smart! Just need to sort through the puzzles and games!

I have a large wicker trunk and it sits lovely in the corner with blankets on when the kids are in bed 🙂

Billy bookcases from IKEA with storage boxes in. Doesn't look great but does the job.

They have a properly kitted out playroom on the 2nd floor but won't use it without us there so all the shite is still in the living room.

For example..

Ottoman

I have the Ikea besta tv stand under our tv and store toys in there. I have two side by side and it stores loads but you would never know once the doors are closed.

This is the one I have. Added shaker doors and black handles from IKEA too.

We have a big wooden toy box that blends into the room. It has blankets on top and looks quite nice if I do say so myself

Another vote for the Kallax. Hides all the kids toys away so we can get our living room back once they are in bed.
