Christmas decoration colour to suit new living room

Hey,

Help me decide please my husband is no help Our new house has dark brown floors, rustic dark brown wooden decor and mirrors and cream sofas/gold lamps. Our old living room was grey so we had colours to match.

I am unsure what colour would go best? Obviously some subtle gold but not a fan of too much of it. What kind of colours would you go for ????

I'd match the "neutral" tones with a mix of golds, champagne, mocha sort of colours.

If you're looking for more rustic you could add in acorns etc?
