Why can't I find the right sofa?

Am on a seemimgly impossible quest to find a mid-centuryish looking sofa that has a back high enough to rest my shoulders and neck on. Why are they all so low?! I bought the Arlo from John Lewis to replace my 2 seater and it's too high, too firm, too low-backed and the seat cushions are fixed (bought online without trying it out in store). Now I need to replace my 3 seater and don't want to make the same mistake. Help!

John Lewis do a high back version of the Bailey sofa-slim armed, mid century design.

Thanks - finally found one yesterday in my local furniture shop. Thought they just did old people furniture! Delighted to be able to support a local business.

Love the handle @Bimblybomeyelash 😄 Their website is pretty useless, John James furniture in Southend-On-Sea. The brand is Sweet Dreams (of mattress renown) and model is Kingston sweetdreamsuk.com/product/upholstery/uk-made-sofas/wentworth/
