It’s peignoir estate. I used a tester pot and it was the dusky pink we wanted. But, I painted it on card not the walls.

Started edging today and it’s so dark it’s grey 🤦🏻‍♀️ with lilac tones.

We’ve fucked up properly. Now I have to buy coverstain to block it so I can repaint.

I’m buying tester pots of calamine & pink ground tomorrow and their going on the wall not a bit of card 😤

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2021 18:17

Dh has suggested that.

The beds coming Wednesday too.

Have you done 2 coats and let it dry? I find f&b changes a lot once dry, also depending on Light/time of day

PurpleyBlue · 29/06/2021 19:05

Yeah I'd put it on Facebook to sell

Peignoir is a weird one, it looks very dark in my experience too but the recent picture they posted on Instagram was very pale. Maybe in light filled rooms it's paler?

Re your problem, sell on a local ad page.

For what it's worth - next time don't buy actual F&B. Go to your local paint shop (eg Brewers) and get F&B colour matched for half the price.

Setting plaster?

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/07/2021 06:38

We went with pink ground, it looks lovely. We did consider setting plaster but dh wanted something lighter.

The peignoir looked so purple on our walls, the rooms north/north west facing. On the Internet it looks like a pale dusky pink 😞.

Our decorator said that things look lighter when done on larger areas. Have you tried painting a whole wall?

beggingforsleep · 03/07/2021 07:07

Ah ignore me. I see you've changed anyway!

I have it in my spare room and it is a greyish dirty pink which I love. I tried it in the hallway and it’s too pink there. The light makes all the difference. I love it though and think it’s a fab bedroom colour
