I'm (hopefully) moving to my forever home soon. I've decided that I'd like to get some decent crockery. I've been living with Mia matched plates and cups for years. My dc are now of an age I don't have to have Peppa Pig cups and plastic plates.

I've seen these and LOVE them, but are they more 'grandma' and I'm kidding myself that they are somehow trendy?

I don't like them personally, but I don't think they're naff.

I like them. My husband would hate them.

Dishwasher friendly might be an idea though, if using them regularly.

I think they are bloody lovely... with the possible slight problem that I don't like print inside a tea cup.

I think they are very pretty. However, I wouldn't buy anything that can't go in the microwave or dishwasher.

Not to my taste as they are too fancy for me but if I went to a friends and they had them I would enjoy them enjoying them iyswim

They're not my cup of tea at all. But if you like them and all others in the household like them, then each to their own.

Personally speaking I think there are nicer sets on this website (I'm not affiliated to it but I do browse every so often) and even with shipping to the UK it would work out cheaper than the set you have linked to in your opening post @bigbaggyeyes:

The ones shown on the front page are beautiful IMHO and if you like them don't worry about other people's opinions. They can pick their own mugs.

If you like that style may I suggest looking at Pip Studio. Similar styling, lower price.

They are beautiful but you shouldn't worry what others think about them, all that matters is if you like them :)

I'd choose practical for everday, yoh can get nice china mugs that will go in the dishwasher etc, and buy yourself a tea set for special occasions

I think the combination of the mug style and granny-type print actually makes them look quite modern. That said, I'm not keen on them, if only because of the need to hand wash.

Also - a set of 5 mugs? This distresses me! It needs to be an even number, surely?

Given the price, though, I think I'd be trawling charity shops for eclectic floral mugs I don't mind breaking instead - however if it's important to you that they're visually a 'set' then go for it.

Actually in that case personally I'd buy two sets so at least I had pairs...but then if I broke one the other would be lonely...
