I am utterly hopeless at picturing things and get terribly anxious about making big decisions.

We have a small living area that needs a sofa. I've attached a pic of the half of the room I am happy with. Sofa will face the TV unit and yellow chair. The room has big sliding doors all along one side that open into the garden. I need to choose a 2 seater sofa. What colour??
I'm open to all sofa colour suggestions that's aren't grey!

Thank you 🙂

Green velvet.

Tan leather and then use navy and teal cushions.

Blue and mustard yellow are a classic combo.

But I agree navy can be dark so I'd go with a royal blue which I think would look stunning

Something like this?

Depends on whether you have young children/messy husband like mine! From experience they lay havoc to fabric sofas in paler colours.

I really like the idea of a dark green sofa - in wool maybe, or even velvet if it is the easy-clean type. Last year someone posted a thread about Zoe Ball's house, which was up for sale at the time. She had dark green sofa's with rose quartz coloured cushions - loved that combination.

We’ve had a white sofa with machine-washable covers for the last decade+ - all through red wine house guest years and baby & toddler chaos and bigger kid snacks. It’s washable, which is great, because it’s white it doesn’t fade and spot cleaners/sunlight do the stain removal job well, and generally although it sounds high maintenance it’s anything but, frankly. I just wash it all as much as needed. Ours was a Habitat sofa, but I’m sure elsewhere is the same. For me, white machine-washable covers have been so much more practical than anything else,

Bright yellow.
