Quiche fix for awful bathroom

Can anyone suggest a colour scheme for a quick bathroom makeover?
It's a biggish room with a fairly small window so not much natural light, nice wooden floors and a white bath suite, the problem is the walls which are all wallpapered (apart from tiles round the bath and sink). It's currently rag-rolled (80s style) with a dark colour. There's a fair bit of paintwork on cupboard doors, window frame and radiator which is currently a very bright yellow!
It needs ripping out and starting again but it will be the last room to get done properly - I just need to do the best I can for now painting over the awful wallpaper (I daren't strip it as I'm sure it would need plastering which will have to wait). The tiles are mostly white with a strip of patterned tiles which I could paint over. I was thinking of cream colour walls with dark grey for woodwork - any other ideas very welcome!

I was going to say yellow. How about yellow walls, white woodwork?

We have strong white, it's a farrow and ball colour mixed up with valspar bathroom and kitchen paint. I have it in two bathrooms, one with navy accents and the other with bright orange and teal accents.

Def paint anything like wood or radiators that are not white. We used a radiator spray paint and came up great, literally took 5mins per coat.

Please don't. No good will come of it.
