Two mismatched sofas? What do you think?

I bought an IKEA sofa in blue a few years ago when setting up home after my divorce. I've since been given a cream covered by my mum. IKEA do replacement covers, but I can't work out how to remove the current cover - it would involve taking the sofa apart again, which I don't think I can do easily.

I've attached a photo. The colours in my lounge are all blue, cream, brown. Does it look stupid? Or shall I just get a cream throw? I'm sure it'll slip off all the time - the cushions slip at the best of times and have to be pushed back into place every day, not a major deal, just annoying. My budget is low, so I can't replace the sofa.

The castle is Raglan castle in Wales I've since replaced the picture however. I'll try and find a photo .. totally outing though!

That second painting looks like a Beryl Langsworthy, don't suppose it is? I love it anyway.

Nothing wrong with cream and blue. They look good together. A couple of cream cushions and really nice.

I like mismatched sofas. Two cream sofas that aren't quite the same shade of cream would be a mistake!

@Whitney168, no it's a Hettie Pittman painting, a print I found in TK Maxx after seeing another similar painting of hers once in a holiday home and loving it.

Thanks everyone, I've now got two blue cushions on the cream sofa and cream ones on the blue sofa. I've lots of pale blue and cream throws anyway, dd is obsessed with throws!

I agree, I would worry about different shades of cream.

Lovely! Matchy-matchy suites are naff.

The sofas are fine. But that brown really doesn't work well with them.
