I’m not sure if I like the style or not.. don’t know if I prefer the more crystal glass style or if this is a bit boring or not..

If you have glass in the door then how will you sneaky look through the peephole to know whether to answer or not! Grin

Having large glass panels doesn’t necessarily compromise security.I’ve just had a composite door fitted and it has large triple glazed glass panels. The company is so sure that it is intruder proof that it has a 10 year guarantee and if anyone manages to break-in through the door, they will apparently pay you 10k!

The first one is cheap and ugly the second one looks like old peoples home really outdated style.
If your door is first one you need a bright boubble wreat in electric blue, yellow abd silver or purple. It needs a modern wreath.

They are all ugly, plastic copies of traditional wooden styles. Why not acknowledge you live in a modern house and have a modern front door?

JaJaDingDong · 25/11/2020 09:28

How dark will your hall be if you have the smaller windows in your door? Is there any other window?

We have that first door

That’s a nice door @grey12 and confirms that it does look much nicer when it is less cluttered.

I think people are being a bit harsh about your door choices OP. There’s nothing wrong with getting a composite door or putting an older style door on a more modern property and I say that as someone who just had a bespoke hardwood door made.

The only thing to bear in mind is that getting a new front doors is bloody expensive. The door doesn’t cost that much, but once you’ve got it fitted you’re looking at at least a couple of grand. So, I’d personally choose a more simple, classic style over something trendy. I think both the doors you picked fall into that classic design category. It’s just the faux stained glass on the 2nd design that dates it, but I’m sure it’ll available with different glass options.

I dislike them both.
