What colour is your vestibule/ porch/ bit before you're fully in the house ? I want yellow. DH is doubtful!

We have a tiny porch, no storage - it's just an in between space before you get into the house. Sometimes take wellies off there but that's it. I fancy a bright colour or at least not grey or beige. I also like the blue I keep seeing in people's lounges. Could that be nice or does it need to be pale? Porch pics if you have them please ! Smile

Mine was a pale yellow (which I Iiked). But when it got too tatty I repainted it with a pale blue (because I had some left over from another room). I wish I’d painted it something brighter, as it’s nice but a bit “meh”.

Next time I’d go for a strong pink/ raspberry, burnt orange, or maybe teal....

Mine is Dulux teal tension (no photo, and hallway currently covered in bits of bathroom suite, but I love the colour)

Mine is white. Front door is white, hallway after second door is...white. it has no natural light so wanted it as bright as possible.

It's not a light space when the door is closed but I fancy some colour to greet me! I'll try and attach a pic. Currently very grotty and the cupboard in which the meters are, has been glossed a million times or so it looks (not by us) and the wires from the door bell! Grim.

We have quarry tiles in our downstairs loo and utility and painted it a sort of dusky blue (little Greene juniper ash). I think yellow with the dark wood door and those tiles might look a bit dated. I like natural wood doors but if you're open to it, you could keep the walls neutral and paint the door a lovely bright colour instead?

I didn't think about the door colour really. A friend made it for us and I hadn't considered painting it. The floor looks filthy. It's a real wind trap for leaves and dust. I'll clean that tomorrow. The shame!
