Arranging IKEA click and collect on website...

I am completely confused. On the website you can’t add to your basket if it’s not in stock online so how do you do click and collect for stock that you can see is in store. At checkout if you choose click and collect and it’s not in your store it gets removed from your basket so it’s definitely from there not a warehouse via the store. Customer service not answering so wondering if anyone had the workaround?

Presumably it's because the store stock might get sold within minutes of you ordering it? They actually will be resourcing click and collect from warehouse stock. The store stock can't be held for collection, it's always available and you take the risk, if you drive over, that someone else would get there first

I had a similar issue with another store - when I went to collect, assuming it was from their stock, it was still packaged as it had arrived from their warehouse. When I chatted to the assistant, as they helped me load the car, they explained how it worked for that store- I assume IKEA works the same way.
