Wall Stickers - Has anyone got some? What do you think? Ideas for nursery - animals / woodland theme 🦊🦁🐻🐵🐿🦔🌳🌿

Hi everyone,

DH and I are looking to decorate our nursery soon and we were thinking of some wall stickers to liven up the room a bit. We’re leaning towards a tree scene with animals surrounding or something along those lines to go on one wall. (I realise they might be an acquired taste and not for everyone!)

Have you tried wall stickers yourself?
Are they any good?
I’ve seen lot’s of different websites and the stickers are made of vinyl or fabric, is there any difference in quality?
The prices vary so much.
Any recommendations on where best to buy them?

A while back I saw a sticker I liked which was some animals like monkeys, like a jungle type scene which you stick around a window, (it wasn’t one of those which has a window as part of the sticker IYSWIM) it looked quite quirky and effective. But stupidly I didn’t bookmark the page and I can’t find it anywhere now. I’ve googled but don’t know what term to search for to find it again.

Any advice would be much appreciated on wall stickers in general.

Have a look at owl and Brolly. Sue makes fabulous sticker (hand designed). They’re fabric ones and really beautiful quality.

I’ve got a space set from her for my sons room and then she designed me flowers for my daughters room. Well worth the price

We use wall stickers in DD's bedroom. When she was younger it was owls sitting on a branch. Some of them did take the paint off when we peeled them off so factor that in. She now has a beautiful flower fairy. TBH, I bought both from eBay. Your nursery design will probably last until they are 4/5yo so be prepared to redecorate again then.

Thank you JamMakingWannaBe - We we’re thinking it will be suitable until around 4-5 so that’s fine. We also thought the paint might come off a bit if the stickers have been on for quite a while.
I like the owls on a branch design too, I think I will have a look on eBay as well and see what else is out there.

I actually lined the wall with lining paper and painted that in case it did pull of any of the paint as I intended on leaving it on the wall for a couple of years. Luckily it didn't. I used wall stickers to decorate my children's rooms several times.

For your search, I just googled "tree with animals wall stickers uk" and then went into "images". There are a lot out there so have a look at that to see what you like.

@OnTheBenchOfDoom - Thank you for your post. I will try googling that. I keep chopping and changing my mind on what I like and don’t like! This could be a long process!

We had the standars ones you can get in B&Q in the nursery when the kids were little and they did take a bit of paint off when we removed them. Since they got older, we've used vinyl wall stickers (bought off Etsy) for each of their rooms and they're really great! You can move them no problem but they also stick really well. And if you have a look around Etsy, there are so many possibilities - DD has multicoloured stars that coordinate with her wall colour, DS2 has different dinosaur designs, and DS1 has clouds in all different sizes.
