Painting kitchen cabinets. Pic included, which colour?

I'm in self isolation over half term, so it's time to get some jobs done around the house.

I'm thinking repainting the kitchen cupboards in my pokey little kitchen, in the grey colour, downpipe. Would that be a really bad idea in a small space?

Any other ideas?

larsingsong I'd say a medium bluey grey. Think b&q have one that's called French grey. Or split so a darker colour on the floor units and lighter on the top but I still wouldn't use white.

@troppibambini Lovely kitchen. How did you change the handles without leaving holes from the originals?

troppibambini · 25/10/2020 12:10

@excelledyourself thank you I filled the holes with wood filler and sanded them. I tried to use as many original holes as possible but you can't see the other holes now.
The hardest bit was getting the cup handles to line up with the holes but it was just being patient really (which I'm not so good atGrin)

Place marking on this thread as I am thinking of doing same at some point this winter (lots of annual leave to use before end of March 2021 and holidays unlikely to be an option!)

Please keep us posted OP @Larsingsong as I would love to see your results

My current kitchen colour is very similar to @troppibambini before picture so would be amazing if I could get a similar result to what you have achieved, I think the ammonite colour looks great

Definitely don't go darker - with the size, the dark floor and worktop it will look too dark. Either very light grey or white and change flooring to freshen up if the budget allows.

@troppibambini, that looks like an amazing transformation.

@troppibambini - your kitchen is lovely - the only slight worry I have is that your extractor fan looks a bit like Alien - I joke - your kitchen is fabulous , really Flowers
