We have an open tread staircase going from our front door and hallway (creamy Amtico floor and magnolia walls with white dado rail and doors/windows) to the upstairs landing (pale grey carpet and white walls and doors/windows). The treads and hand rails would be black and the (turned) spindles white.
I hate that staircase (currently dark wood and white) but changing that and the banister in the landing would cost far too much for our budget. So I was thinking of changing the look and feel with paint. Has anyone here got black and white wooden stairs? Thoughts?
