What is your favourite furniture stores?

We're currently in need of some new pieces of furniture (like a desk, wide low chest of drawers, rugs, floating shelves) etc.

I'd love to avoid ending up with a house full of Ikea furniture and hoping to find something that does slim and sleek furniture (rather than the bulky rustic style).

Any tips of your favourite shops for furniture?

Ebay or Gumtree. So much hardly used furniture out there!

Dwell, John Lewis and Made are the places I got my non-ikea, reasonably priced furniture.

We've ended up with quite a bit of Loaf furniture in our house. Its a bit pricey but the things we've bought are beautifully made. We also bought a brilliant upcycled dining table and chairs from Gumtree- it was upcycled by a retired couple who did it as a hobby. Its really lovely, was reasonably priced, and is completely unique.
