Does my DIY kitchen look ok?

I get so fed up seeing everyone’s beautiful houses on Facebook, having extensions and new kitchen put in etc. My DH isn’t any good at DIY at all and has no desire to be which is frustrating! And £10,000 or more for a new kitchen just isn’t justifiable at the moment.
So I got a paintbrush and painted my kitchen! We bought new worktops and laid some new laminate.
Does it look ok or does it scream DIY job?

I meant the holes for the hob/sink

Glad I'm not the only one who thought "I've seen this kitchen before"

You’ve done a great job! Is that a new oven or did you paint/spray your old one?

MJMG2015 · 05/10/2020 21:06

@Lazydaizy88 thanks 🌷

Looks great, op! Well done

Lazydaizy88 · 05/10/2020 21:48

@BuffaloMozzerella ahh right, yes my dad helped me with that one!
@Rina66 thank you! No it’s a new oven, the old one came with the house, it was gross and really loud so there was no way a lick of paint was going to fix it 😂

I'm obviously in the minority here but I prefer the wood colour before. I have a similar 90s kitchen and I've been very tempted to paint it. I think I made the right decision.

By the way though it looks like you've done a fab job and it looks very 'now' I'm just old fashioned.
