Can I have a rainbow/cloud themed nursery with dark brown furniture?

Hi, I bought a crib and a changing table which are both dark brown wood. I bought a playmat that is pink with clouds on. I've attached pics.
Can I make a cloud/rainbow theme work with dark brown furniture or not? All Pinterest and instagram images I see with the theme use white or light brown furniture.
I was also thinking of a woodland animals theme which would go better with the dark wood furniture but then the pink/clouds playmat wouldn't really match.

You can make your rainbow /clouds theme work - so if that's what you want, stick with it!

Actually I've decided on a 'colourful' theme with these gorgeous decals from Andy Westface. Do you think the grey side of the mat would still go?
