I’m wondering if anyone can help me with my kitchen layout please.I have 3 slightly different designs and I’m confused which one to go for and what if anything I can add. Our kitchen is 18 years old it was in the house when we bought it but the current design isn’t practical for a family of 5 and now it’s starting to fall apart ConfusedConfused I would appreciate any advice thanks 😊

Is the door into the kitchen the only access to the back of your house or could you block it up to make a g shape kitchen?

I think it depends on how you cook.

I virtually always cook alone and design 2 with all the stuff you use in a compact space really appeals to me.

I would be inclined to lose the wall cabinets too on the left side - do you really need all that storage? If you get drawers they take SO much stuff. I have an entire 12 place setting dinner service (so dinner plates, salad plates, side plates, rice bowls, dessert bowls, pasta bowls x 12) and some serving dishes in one deep drawer. I actually have quite a lot of empty cupboard space in my kitchen!

We've recently had a new kitchen which is very like design 3. We have all tall units on the right .f/f , 2 oven housing units with ovens side by side . On the right all low units. Our peninsula is deeper with cupboards either side and has the gas job on it . The sink is 2 units before it and the unit just before the peninsula has the bins init . It contains bins for general wast . Recycling and food waste .

I don't like the way the oven doors are positioned right next to the base unit on the right.

That’s another idea I’ve never thought of. I do have another access to the back but I don’t know would it be awkward?!?

Beautiful kitchen, the fact your door is in the middle makes it easier to have that wall of tall cupboards as they are not blocking you in the face when you walk into the room .
