Brass Kitchen Handles

I've decided I want brass handles in my new kitchen. Nothing traditional/twee, something like this or like this

It seems I've opened a can of worms though - because that will mean I need a brass kitchen tap, right? And what about the sink? It's going to be ceramic, but do I need a brass waste?

Has anyone else chosen brass? What did you do with the tap and sink?

So I probably should make a small confession at this point – The kitchen units I’m speccing out at this point is technically not for my actual kitchen, but for a small kitchenette that’s going into our new garden room. We did our actual kitchen last year, when I spent just as much time agonising over handles as I am going right now.

In my actual kitchen, I have 900mm pan drawers, and the bar handles on those drawers are around 450mm. They look good and are comfortable/balanced to use. Personally, I wouldn’t want them to be shorter, which is why I’m worried about the kitchenette, where the drawers will be even longer (even though the kitchen space itself is much smaller – I have the luxury of just going for maximum storage spaceSmile)

Over 600mm, I think the recommendation is to go for either a longer bar handle, or two separate handles (my personal preference in that case is for either knobs or cups)

I've a combination of these on mine and love them. Mixture of the short ones set vertically on cupboards and the long ones horizontally on drawers.

With this tap set in ceramic double sink, with stainless steel trap etc.

Dowsing & Reynolds skyscraper come in some really long lengths. Hold on I’ll find a link.

here Chunky Skycraper comes in 30, 40, 50 and 60. I think it’s a little fatter than the standard Skycraper as well as longer.

Thrilled with the handles I received from Plank. You were right @QuantumWeatherButterfly so much better to go for solid brass as they feel very weighty!

I held the longest handle against my 1000mm drawers and I actually thought they looked fine. Like you, I don't want two smaller pull handles on each drawer.

Would love to know what you though of the quality of the Berlag knurled knobs. I've found this site, Green Ivy who do some really interesting brass and mother of pearl knobs, can't decide which will look better against my new black cabinets.
