All I need is opinions whether this is true to sample?
Picture attached: top (lighter wood) is a sample and the bottom (darker wood) is the product received.
Would you be happy with this delivery?
Upon querying ‘wood is a natural product’ which I can appreciate but this much of a variation?

Would you be happy? Opinions please

Completely different. Send back if you can and order elsewhere

PickingUpLicks · 16/09/2019 19:47

No I wouldn't be happy with that, it's completely different!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 16/09/2019 19:47

Too much variation for me.

Bobthefishermanswife · 16/09/2019 19:48

Product looks like its had a darker stain, ask to swap it for another batch?

adagio · 16/09/2019 19:49

I’d send it back, completely different colour imo

Jellybeans101 · 16/09/2019 19:50

Thanks all!
We’re having bloody murder with the manufacturer who are saying they want 20% (£200) handling fee!!
They have directed us to trading standards if we are not happy!!!
I’ve had to get second opinions cause I’m thinking am I actually going mad? It’s absurd!

Looks like they've sent the wrong item.

PickingUpLicks · 16/09/2019 21:01

Did you pay by credit card?

PaquitaVariation · 16/09/2019 21:12

No, they don’t look like the same product.

RhymesWithOrange · 16/09/2019 21:20

That's a completely different product!

Jellybeans101 · 16/09/2019 21:22

@PickingUpLicks yes used Barclaycard. Already contacted them

RhymesWithOrange · 16/09/2019 21:43

Who's the manufacturer?

Unburnished · 16/09/2019 21:59

One is dark oak, the other is light oak.

Someone fucked up but wont admit it. Have you asked the owner for an explanation beyond ‘it’s a natural product?’

keepingbees · 16/09/2019 22:23

That's not natural wood variation, they are completely different colours. No I wouldn't be happy, stick to your guns!

Jellybeans101 · 17/09/2019 10:23

@Unburnished I have! They referred me to terms and conditions I’ve had to take it further Confused

RhymesWithOrange · 17/09/2019 10:54

Can you escalate to MD?

Take to social media?

NoSquirrels · 17/09/2019 10:59

Wow, they’re a company begging to go out of business! That’s ludicrous customer service - clearly doesn’t match the sample at all and that’s the whole point of a sample!

HereWeGoNow · 17/09/2019 11:05

They are different colours and have different grains. I would not be happy.

Unburnished · 17/09/2019 14:47

Outrageous trying to pass it off as the same. Definitely take it further.

goingtotown · 18/09/2019 20:10

Name & Shame.

HeadintheiClouds · 19/09/2019 12:27

Surely the handling fee is for customers who’ve returned because they’ve changed their minds, not been sent the wrong product?!
Don’t pay a bloody penny.

HeadintheiClouds · 19/09/2019 12:27

Btw, your choice is far nicer.

lavabug5 · 19/09/2019 12:31

I'm no expert but that is ridiculously different! I'd be expecting them to apologise and correct the order

lavabug5 · 19/09/2019 12:32

Unless of course you have accidentally ordered the incorrect product!

minipie · 21/09/2019 00:41

That’s insane. No way is that the same product. I wonder if someone accidentally sent out the wrong sample. Have you sent them the photos?
