What colour walls (or wallpaper suggestions) for bathroom with greige tiles?

We live in a new build and despite spending forever choosing the bathroom tiles to make sure we picked the right ones, it turns out the mid grey ones we chose turned out to be more of a warm toned 'greige' once they were up.

I'm not overly keen on them and I just can't choose a colour to go with them. I'd happily consider a fun wallpaper but again, can't find one that would go with the tiles.

I think my dislike of the tiles is putting me off finding anything that would go with them, so any suggestions MNers?? The whole bathroom is half tiled, so it'd be too wasteful (and beyond my current budget) to get them ripped out and replaced!). Also, no window in the bathroom, so no natural light.

We’ve just painted ours Mellow Mocha with similar coloured tiles that we inherited with our house.

Mine is the same and i do love them. I have plain white walls on the upper part. It really lifts it and any colour towels etc can be used to add the colour. I started out with cherry red and dark brown towels but other colours also look nice.

Thank you both. The walls are currently white, and they really need some colour.

Mellow mocha would work I think, but again, I want more of a colour (or a wallpaper) than a neutral shade (if that makes sense).

I would definitely recommend getting a tester pot of the mocha, it’s not as plain as you might think. It looks different depending on your lighting. In our bathroom it looks more like a blush pink than a shade of brown, it works nicely. Personally wouldn’t recommend ever putting wallpaper in a bathroom though.

Ahh yes, sometimes you just know when colour is required. And if no natural light, I agree.
Apples and pears is a lovely soft green, I have it in my downstairs toilet that has no window.
But yes to tester pots. Good luck!

No real advice but just wanted to say the same thing happen with our bathroom.
I picked a mix of some dark grey tiles and light grey tiles for our new build bathroom, but was gutted when I got my keys and the lighter shade are bloody beige!
I’m planning to just paint the walls a nicer shade of white though.

Download the Dulux visualiser app and then you can take a photo of the room and virtually paint different colours on the wall to see what they will look like.

Once you find a colour you like you can order sample pots and see how it looks.

F&B light blue looks great with greige tones. It's a soft chalky blue/grey but can look greeny too depending on the light. Use white towels.

Thanks everyone. That F&B colour looks lovely and a pinky mocha could work. I need to just get some tester pots I think, though have found a wallpaper I like. I know wallpaper isn't always a popular choice for a bathroom, but we had some in a previous bathroom and I loved it.
