Can you show me your livingroom paint and shelving colour combos, please?

I have a carpenter/joiner coming this week to install something like the attached in my livingroom and I need to think about the colour of the unit, and the walls.

The room isn’t very big (c. 4m x 4m) with patio doors on one side so good light. It’s currently a soft peachy colour (Dulux Honey Cream, IIRC). Skirting and doors are gloss white but may change to cream depending on scheme I go with.

I’ve loved grey paint for years but the recent upsurge in popularity has put me off a bit.

I saw a beautiful teal recently, but not sure how it’d work in a small room.

If you have a similar room with shelving like this, could you please share a pic?

A lot less hassle than painting all the units and much easier to update further down the line.

Both my dining room and front room have alcove cupboards and shelves. Painted in White Tie by Farrow and Ball. The front room walls are Elephants Breath, and the dining room is Mizzle
