I can't seem to find one!

Those that I've tried are either too greige (F&B Ammonite), too pale (F&B Blackened), too blue (Laura Ashley Pale Silver, otherwise this would have been great) or too dark (Laura Ashley Pale Steel or Pale Slate).

Looking for a true pale grey (but not too white Smile) for my bright, south facing room in the garden.

Any suggestions please!

I've just used Dulux Pebble Shore and it's quite nice imo.

Kescilly · 18/02/2019 13:07

Could you not mix some black paint into a pure white paint can?

Rupster · 18/02/2019 13:22

Dulux Polished Pebble.

LKRJM · 18/02/2019 13:28

I was in the same boat as you, tried every grey under the sun, ended up with two from Wilkinson’s own range, think they were grey skies and urban grey in matt. Absolutely love them and the nicest light grey without a blue twinge I could find!

Johnstone's Trade Misty Grey ?

honorariam · 18/02/2019 13:37

Dulux Chic Shadow. We bought this after having the exactly same issue as you...now everyone we know has also decorated their houses with it.

Hollowvictory · 18/02/2019 13:37

Rolling fog light. Little greene paint company

HeyMicky · 18/02/2019 13:50

Another vote for Chic Shadow. A proper clear grey, and it gets so many compliments

MissMarplesKnitting · 18/02/2019 13:50

Crown clay white

WellTidy · 18/02/2019 14:27

Thank you. That's a great sounding selection to try.

I'll add Dulux Goose Down -- quite pale but a light warmth to it. V picky DS went for this after trying approximately 250 other shades of grey.

Johnstones moonlit sky

bsc · 24/02/2019 10:11

Crown Gallery White. It's a proper pale grey, no blue or green etc.

Nearlyadoctor · 24/02/2019 10:20

Another vote for Polished Pebble - our decorator is painting our H/S and landing in it as we speak 😉

QuestionableMouse · 24/02/2019 10:22

Yep, the moonlight sky is nice.

It's on the bottom and other B&Q colours Chantilly on the top. (It's being discontinued; I got it in the sale.)

Just coming back to say that we went for Dulux Polished Pebble, and I really like it. For anyone coming to the thread in the future, I also really liked Dulux Goose Down for a darker (but still light) grey than Polished Pebble. Both are true light greys.

Dulux Chic Shadow or Polished Pebble both true grey with no hint of blue.

CoraCoo · 12/03/2019 20:10

I just came on to say Dulux Polished Pebble, but you got there without me ha!

WellTidy · 12/03/2019 20:24

Polished pebble seems really popular!

Did you find the right shade op? We used Goose Down and love it.

WellTidy · 13/03/2019 08:57

We went with Polished Pebble Atchiclees and yes, I like it. It is a true pale grey. I do feel that we could have gone slightly darker though, and Goose Down will be the shade I use if I continue to think it is currently a tad too light. Not sure Dh is up for redoing it though ...

Just painted our bathroom polished pebble and I love it. When I tested it on paper it looked a little beige but on wall it is a definite light grey. I tried about 10 different greys!

IM0GEN · 16/03/2019 22:30

Crown Gallery White. It's a proper pale grey, no blue or green etc

We have this and it looks pale lilac after dark.

Windingstreams · 16/03/2019 22:33

I used Valspar magic touch - a beautiful pale grey
