Looking for light taupe/warm neutral paint for walls

Hi,
I wondered whether anyone could recommend a really light taupe/warm neutral paint for walls, please? Not Farrow & Ball - Dulux or other not too expensive paint! I'm looking for a colour that's very light but not so pale as to be almost white - would love any suggestions!

Our house was fine as insurance job following a flood in 2015 so we had ‘trade’ paint that was colour matched - Ley land trade brand, ‘rope swing’

  • done, not fine! But the paint is nice!

Have you looked at the warm neutrals on the Dulux site?
There are some lovely colours there.

Dulux Natural Calico and get to colour matched in B&Q or Dulux Timeless which is almost white but warmer than bright white.

Bert2e · 08/02/2019 16:31

Sorry scrub Timeless as it will be too pale!

Pinkyponkcustard · 08/02/2019 16:32

Dulux Egyptian cotton is lovely and often discounted.

B&Q do a lovely own brand paint called Lauren. We’ve got it in our dark hall/downstairs loo and people always comment on how nice it is.

We have crown baking day. It's like the colour of set plaster. Def a warm neutral.

Hiphopopotamous · 08/02/2019 17:10

Mellow mocha or gentle fawn - mocha is a bit more of a pinky neutral but I like both

Trumponerous · 08/02/2019 17:38

It sounds like you are describing Dulux Egyptian Cotton.

Makegoodchoices · 08/02/2019 17:44

We used Mellow mocha which is a warm neutral but looks scarily dark when you first put it on. People always say how soothing/relaxing our house decor is.

Dulux Pebble Shore. Highly recommend

Pinkyponkcustard · 08/02/2019 21:15

Yes pebble shore is lovely also op

I thought of dulux Egyptian cotton as soon as I saw your title!

Yorkshirelassie · 08/02/2019 21:28

Dulux Egyptian cotton was my first thought too. Have it in our bedroom and really like it.

Loststuffdrivesmecrazy · 08/02/2019 22:56

Dulux Egyptian cotton

Juicyfrooty · 08/02/2019 22:58

Egyptian cotton is nice, but my new favourite that is slowly working it's way throughout most of my house is valspar anchors aweigh

Peeeas · 08/02/2019 23:00

Dulux perfectly taupe!

Peeeas · 08/02/2019 23:01

If you like any f&b colours, trade paint shops will match them in e.g.Dulux (better quality paint too).

Bluesheep8 · 09/02/2019 16:27

F and B skimming stone. We had it copied.

wowfudge · 09/02/2019 16:50

Mellow Mocha was lilac on our living room walls! I've got most of a 5L tin left if you want it though!

Dulux Caramel Latte is what we went for instead.

MargotLovedTom1 · 09/02/2019 17:54

Egyptian Cotton is quite grey-ish, not taupe. Natural Hessian is lovely.

Yulebealrite · 09/02/2019 17:57

I like Egyptian cotton. I have taupe sofas and it certainly isn't greyish. It goes perfectly.

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 09/02/2019 18:39

Second Farrow & Ball Skimming Stone if you can get it colour-matched somewhere else - I have it in a north facing room and it's beautiful. The other furnishings in the room are a mix of beige, taupe and silvery grey with white accents, and the paint ties them all together.

Bluesheep8 · 10/02/2019 07:32

Trying to post a pic of skimming stone. We also have our kitchen cupboards painted in it, I love it that much Grin
