Please look at my velux and tell me if it looks right! The ends look squashed to me

Never had velux blinds before.

Just had these fitted and on closer inspection they don’t appear to fit properly. At the time, because I was having difficulty closing them, the fitter told me “I’d get used to the angle” (using a pole and hook to pull them closed and open).

Now I’m really looking at them, they seem crinkled at the edges as if they’ve been squashed in there.

I’d really appreciate some opinions! Need to ask them to come out and sort it if that’s the case.

I don’t have velux blinds, but I don’t think they should be squished like that at the ends - it looks like they’ve been made slightly too wide, and now the edges are getting damaged. I wouldn’t be happy about that, particularly as made to order blinds do not come cheap!

Do you have a photo of the blind pulled out?

nothanksbyenow · 31/01/2019 11:02

I don’t but can have a quick go and see if I can get it to come down.

I think that answers it actually! I’m going to give them a ring. Thanks for taking the time.

no, not right, and as you can see, when pulled out it won't lie flat to the window.

I wish we’d had a go at fitting them ourselves now!

Bloody hell, I really need to put my reading glasses on. I read "vulva".

I have velux windows with blinds and there's no squashing on the ends of mine. And I don't have to pull them at a certain angle to get them to close either.

ShockGrin Sarahlou, and you still came for a look?! Wink
Thanks MeetJoe, feel a bit more confident now in asking the company to sort it out.
