How can we redecorate our horrible glass sliding wardrobe doors?

We have some Sharps sliding door fitted wardrobes in our bedroom which are basically coloured glass - you may know the kind - three sections per door. They are horrible and take up a whole wall. Just wondering how we could cover them up? Someone suggested wallpapering them, which is an idea I quite like - has anyone done this and would the wallpaper stick to the glass? any tips or ideas would be welcome as we cannot afford to replace the doors.

Can you post a picture? Could you use that film that is like etching on them?

Window film?
Fablon?

You can get fablon sticky back plastic and comes in a huge range or different colours and effects. I imagine that would stick to the glass quite well.

We did try fablon on the middle strip of the doors about a year ago - looks ok, but does not come in big enough rolls, plus I think it is harder to reposition and get smooth as once it sticks it sticks tight!

Also, quite a limited range of styles, whereas wallpaper is endless!

Another vote for window film. Comes in a large range of patterns these days.

There are numerous videos on YouTube showing people wallpapering glass and mirrored wardrobes.
