This rug, yay or nay

For living room which is neutral but has lots of natural textures (wood, brick, leather). Want to brighten it up a bit and add some bright colours from the rug.

Is this awful or nice?

Are those dark bits not navy? They look navy to me

It's a really busy design - perfect for a guest room to discourage a long stay

I'm not sure if they are navy or grey. maybe I need to get the rug before I get any cushions.

However, a no for the rug. Too busy and intricate. I reckon in a big room like that (is it quite dark as well?) something with a bigger pattern and less fiddly colours would work. Or a fairly plain rug but add colour with cushions, throws, lamps, plants...
