I’m rubbish at putting colours etc together. What colour accessories would go with new living room?

Just painted living room Timeless with one feature wall with fireplace in Elephant’s breath. We have a lovely golden oak coloured wooden floor.

We have a grey sofa and a chestnut learher sofa. Ideally I would like to replace these but can’t afford to for a while so need to make the best of it.

Curtains are grey with subtle pattern, fairly new so need to stay.

Although i like and wanted neutral wall colours now I feel it is all very grey & brown and I want some colour but have no idea what or how. Thinking maybe a rug, cushions and throws. And we need a central light shade.

What colour accessories could work to make it a bit more interesting but not ott? I have looked on pinterest but when searching for EB the rooms all look very neutral including accessories.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Some lovely plants with deep green leaves, texture is really important so things like faux fur for cushions or shaggy styles add interest. I like dusky pinks with Grey and green can work well.

IMO bronze or copper colours look fabulous for lamps.

Dusky lavender/pale amethyst/mauve/heather/silver grey

I’d have a cushion with a pattern (checks/plaid) that has a combination of the colours then pick out those colours in individual tesxtured cushions e.g velvet/damask (pattern same colour as background but in a shinier finish), Mongolian fur or speckled tweed
