Paint colour to counter bright LED lighting

Just put in a central LED light (1400k) in my dining room, to add brightness (ha!) and it now resembles an operating theatre I’ve currently got TImeless on the walls but the light is just getting bounced back.

Anyone any ideas on best neutral but warm paint to get a cosier feel?

My friend has Egyptian Cotton on her walls and it is lovely warm colour but not at all dark.
Alternatively; could you perhaps add a dimmer switch to enable you to take the edge of the brightness a little?
