I have tiles in the kitchen/diner, utility and bathrooms/cloak. Great everywhere but the kitchen where it has got chipped and it's cold underfoot. I have oak flooring in a couple of other places, but it was badly done with big cracks between the boards by the builder who then scarpered. There are two schools of thought: treat it like trash and it will get a nice worn look or treat like a Ming vase, never let water near it etc. I am obviously taking the first approach.
I have carpets in the bedrooms and on the stairs. They are warm but hold dirt and my children have done many bad things to them including poo and felt tip.
I love being able to just sweep up a little and waft the DustBuster at the odd thing with my hard floors, don't do big cleans very often now. So if I had the chance to redo it all, what should I do?
