Two tone kitchens

We are having a new kitchen and considering two tone.

Dark grey for base units and off white for wall units. I've seen a lot about recently but do you think it will date quickly?

We re-did our kitchen 3 years ago with a two tone kitchen and I still love it.

We have gloss white on the upper units and a textured wood on the bottom. We have white stone (they're not quartz but something along those lines - I can't remember) worktops.

To bring the two together we framed the white gloss upper units with edging strips the same as the bottom units.

At any point if we get tired of it we figure we can change the doors out to match either way.

We have dark grey on the bottom and tall units and very pale grey on the wall units. It doesn't cost much to change doors if in a few years your tastes change. We did it as our kitchen doesn't get much natural light. I'll see if I can find a photo. Found one - this was half way through doing the floor.

We have pavilion grey bottom units and strong white top ones. I was dubious but I'm so glad we did it as it makes the kitchen feel much bigger, more open and lighter.

I think it’s just become a style now. My Mam had two different colour units in her kitchen which was put in when I was pregnant and dd is eleven now.

Kitchen about to be ordered. Dark grey on the bottom and very light grey on the top.

I'm a little concerned people will think the world has transformed into black and white.

I'm notoriously indecisive when it comes to wall colours - let alone something like this!

Last chance to talk me out of it.

Sorry missed the question. Mine is royal blue and duck egg (not everyone's cup of tea but in our space it will make us happy)

Your colours sound lovely!
