Dishwasher in utility room

Hi All,

we're about to launch into re-designing our kitchen and utility room and somebody suggested to us to move the dishwasher out of the kitchen and put it in the utility room, and installing a sink & bin in the utility as well. I like the idea of the sink but not convinced about the practicalities of the dishwasher being out there... all the trucking in and out loading and emptying it. Or maybe I'm over-thinking this.. Would love to hear someone else's thoughts on this. Thanks!

This is old, so has the refurb is probably complete. But is quite handy to have a dishwasher and sink in a separate room, it would be called a scullery kitchen. Keeps the social kitchen tidy.

I’d love a scullery if I had a scullery maid! I know this thread is old but it’s reminded me to make space for a bin in our new utility.
