Alternatives to grey!

Arghhh please help, I have issues with grey!

Currently trying to plan a scheme of redecoration for my new Home (master bedroom, bathroom, hall/stairs and living room) and I feel like every room would look great in grey!! It's a 2 bed terrace so the above rooms would mean effectively the entire house was a shade of grey. Would this be okay?!

What are my other neutral but stylish alternatives?

Agree with what foof said - grey is a good neutral base but requires accent tones like blues greens pinks mustards. Grey on grey on silver on chrome or white just looks bland and cheap imo.

@bobkate oooh loving your peignoir with stiff key!! What colour flooring are you going for?
I’ve decided peignoir for our ensuite and dressing area with worsted woodwork (I think I’ve decided anyway). I’d like to carry the peignoir through to the bedroom but not sure on woodwork/robe colour or carpet colour. Was thinking a light grey - cornforth white. Then introduce raspberry and brighter colours in bedlinen and curtains. I should really choose curtains first!!!

Thanks snowglobes! Our carpet is a mid to dark overdone grey Grin

Grey has had its day. I don’t think it was ever meant to be an “every room grey in every possible way” look.

Makes me think of the Mrs Hinch style.

@bobkate I absolutely love that!

I can see what people are saying - there’s a big difference between grey with nice colour accents than grey with silver, crushed velvet, crystal and mirrored furniture.

I’m going to probably go for the same grey in all rooms when I decorate purely because choosing one colour is overwhelming enough for me never mind 3/4/5. Oak furniture and no crystal lamps here though!

villanelle thank yoi. Hoping to be in soon so have to choose curtains now Confused no idea what to choose with these colours!
