Worried about House of Fraser delivery of Parker Knoll

Just been reading about poor customer service at House of Fraser. We have just invested a large amount of money on ordering a Parker Knoll Westbury Leather settee and chair. We were quoted 7weeks for delivery. Now I have seen poor reviews for their customer service if anything is wrong. We usually only deal with John Lewis but they didn’t have the range which we wanted. My daughter had her furniture delivered the other week and the delivery men said that House of Fraser were he worst for getting everything ordered correctly. My daughter was just missing armchair protectors but now I am concerned the legs on the Westbury which are put on after delivery might be missing! I sound neurotic but we have spent so much money that this is now bugging me. Ant reassurance out there? Would be grateful.

Sorry, no direct experience but if you are really concerned then under the consumer contract regs (formerly the distance selling regs) you can usually cancel for a full refund within 14 days of placing the order.

Thank you but they are being made to order. Just hope it turns out okay. The sales people in the store couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. So, am crossing everything. Was going to get rid of our present suite when we got a delivery date but now am wondering if I should wait.

My sofa from them was great.
However I had 2 "lamps" that were missing the shades and bases.

Yes I had the two bits that hold the lamp onto the base arrive through my post box in a jiffy bag.

The man in the shop, after lots of head shaking, eventually sorted it out for me.

Thank you AvoidingDM. I was concerned really about the separate legs that the delivery men screw into the settee and armchair. Especially as they said things are often missing. Apparently you have to accept the furniture and sort things out with HOF. We have also ordered a footstool but if that was missing that could be sorted out later. Don’t fancy sitting on the floor tho! Now wondering if we dare get rid of our present suite and tempt fate. Sorry must stop this pessimism and Smile

Not Parker Knoll, but we ordered Duresta sofas via HofF and no problems with delivery etc.
