Online recommendations please - not too £££££. Maybe a bit quirky?!

My husband and I have a small business selling non-contemporary art - stuff from the 19th and 1st half of 20th century. Send me a message if you're interested in looking at our website.

well in general - Saatchi Art website

PhilODox · 10/06/2017 21:27

Do you have any local small galleries? Or artist societies. Sometimes ours have an exhibition in the local library, and the public can buy the pieces.

Jungfraujoch · 10/06/2017 21:31

Yes I should visit some local galleries, but I just thought I'd check out a few online.
Thanks for suggestions so far.

Artfinder.com
Originals from artists all over the world. I've bought a couple of lovely pieces. Prices very affordable too

We own a print by Peter Shread. (Promise he's no relation Grin) I really love it.

Thanks for the tip Happenstance I checked it out and bought a lovely print- really chuffed and very reasonable.

HappenstanceMarmite · 13/06/2017 09:28

That's great Furbys 👍

I bloody love my oil on canvas by Leonid Afremov. It's really vibrant and colourful and draws comments from everyone who sees it. Very reasonably priced on ebay although they come rolled. I bought a frame and stretched mine myself. 😁

The Peter Shread ones are a bit different thank you Annandale

Pinkshagpile love those too! Thanks.

How about making your own art, OP?

Art =/= shopping

Hi Jung
Has anyone suggested *www.deviantart.com?
Apologies if mentioned but it's a great site. Also the artists can sell practically direct, cutting out middlemen and middle women (sorry to pp up thread Blush )
I know this as Late DFiance was moderately successful on there and he was picked out by an American publisher. Won't say anymore Grin

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 14/06/2017 10:02

Also meant to leave link and to say that there is much quirkyness . a wide range.

AngelicaSchuylerChurch · 14/06/2017 16:53

Depending on where you live the Fine Art graduate shows are going on at the moment and might be worth a look.
