We are having our kitchen and bathroom renovated in a couple of weeks and I've sorted everything but can't decide on floor tiles, would like some honest opinions on these please.
Kitchen and bathroom are off of one another (Victorian terrace) and are both very small rooms, the kitchen is going to be the ikea hittarp in white and bathroom will have white metro tiles with grey grout around half of wall and was going to paint the rest of the walls a dark charcoal grey, both rooms have large windows so get enough light hth

Opinions on these floor tiles please

That last one is lovely

I love the mix & match look in kitty's
Ive seen a wine version of them which would be lovely with your grey colour scheme.

That one is really nice.

It's still very cold looking though. Could you add underfloor heating? We recently laid out own and it was really simple and not particularly expensive.

That way you'd have that look without feeling cold in the winter because the floor would be toasty Grin

Mmmm under floor heating does sound lovely Weather, I'm going to look into that.

Mumble - we bought from Warm up. You supply room size and they'll tell you what you need. It's actually more affordable than you think - especially for a small room.

The biggest cost is that you need a qualified electrician to wire the control unit into a plug socket - although once again that wasn't a fortune. The actual control box is then placed above it higher up on the wall so it's easy to program. We mostly channelled the resulting wire into the walls and filled it with filler then painted over to match the walls but in one room we had to clip the wire. We did that one in a corner and it didn't look too obtrusive.

You can then set the temperature and also when you want it to come on and off. What we liked was that each area can be set separately but that won't apply if you have just one room to do.

I'd REALLY recommend it and then you can have that cool colour scheme (which looks really good) but not feel all chilly looking at it in winter :)

Sorry to go on: the control unit is a small sort of glass digital thing about the size of a wall light switch.

Hi mumble29 - where is that last tile from? We are doing our cloakroom and I'd love to shamelessly steal Smile
