I have fallen for a parquet floor made of baked oak blocks. In the showroom it is a lovely rich dark honey colour, but the sample they've given us is much darker. The sales staff have told us that it starts out the darker colour and fades through sun exposure.
Has anyone had a floor and has it faded? Do you end up with a patchy floor? How long did it take to look less dark?
It will go in a sitting room/ dining room that have been knocked together. The sitting room gets lots of sun, the dining room very little. Will it look odd as it fades unevenly?
