All I can find are terrible post sales reviews about this company (ex CSL) but we like the sofa, tell me it'll be wonderful/or to run a mile please!

I am in the same position as you. Very worrying. I have paid my deposit. Fingers crossed. What did you decide to do?

slithytove · 19/05/2016 22:33

We have a sofology sofa, service and delivery was great, after care was fine, and we love the sofa.

LMGTFY · 19/05/2016 22:38

We bought a Next one in the end as I couldn't find any post sales positive reviews on csl/sofaworks/sofology/whatever they're calling themselves now. I'm sad as I loved that one more than any other but friends and online post showroom reviews put me off, hope it works out for you.

Thanks for the responses. Will post here how I get on. Sofa due early July.

CookFromFresh · 25/05/2016 18:09

Well !! Can hardly contain my joy at receiving email from Sofology saying it was time to book my delivery. My corner unit is due for delivery now on 9th June. Yes nearly a month earlier than they originally estimated. So very pleased. Will keep you updated with how it goes. Still fingers crossed.

CookFromFresh · 09/06/2016 14:02

I am delighted with Sofology. Had texts and calls yesterday telling me a 4 hour delivery slot and today a call when 30 mins away. They unpacked the corner unit, checked it over for me and then took all the packing away. Nothing was too much trouble for the delivery men. The corner unit is much better quality for the value price and it looks funky and modern. Thank you Sofology. Highly recommended.

Looking at sofology for a sofa (unsurprisingly). Trust pilot reviews of service all good. Any views on how hard wearing your sofa is getting on?

jjran2016 · 17/08/2016 21:30

Just paid a deposit on the Heritage line of sofa with Sofology . Now seeing a lot of not so good reviews about Sofology on other websites. Please share your experiences here if anyone has bought from them?

Had Mizzi leather chair delivered from Sofology, had crush marks on both arms. The company sent out a technician to try and sort this problem out. He couldn't, thats where my battle seems to have started.
I asked for a replacement, NO was the reply, it will take 6 weeks for the damage to disappear. Said I would return under the distance selling, to be informed, I didn't order it over the internet, I did. Then informed it would cost me 20% to do this.
I am now waiting to see if the damage disappears, hope it does.
Will keep you informed of the outcome after the 6 weeks.

Just been massively let down by @sofology. Do not order a sofa from these people. Sales staff were really friendly and informative and the whole process of choosing our sofa was a pleasant experience. We were told it would take up to six weeks for delivery. Six weeks later we were told delivery would be delayed by two weeks. Irritating but what can you do? Two weeks later we received a text letting us know that the sofa will be delivered the following day between 11am and 3pm. Several hours later we get a call from Sofology to say that the sofa has actually been damaged whilst in transit from their supplier and that they will have to reorder which means we will have to wait another 7 weeks for delivery! I say this is unacceptable and want to know what they can do, considering we have spent nearly a £1000. They offered to take off the delivery cost, a huge £44. They also offered a replacement sofa, but I told them this was not the point. I struggled to get across my disappointment to the 'technical services' operator. She then put me on hold for 10 mins, which took the call just past 6pm and then I was cut off. I was unable to call back as they closed at 6pm. Terrible service. Please use the many other great companies out there as you will get better service. You certainly couldn't get worse.

I’ve got a karma sofa and also think it’s awful quality. Had to have them out today as there are staples sticking out of the side off the sofa and you can feel it when you sit down. Waiting to see what there going to do. He said they can repair it but it will take 3 hours. No happy.

amber6208 · 01/12/2017 12:57

Do not buy from this company. What they don't tell you is if you spill water on their fabrics you have to clean the whole seat cover with their care kit. I sadly spilled a drop of water on the sofa and it left a horrible water mark. The customer service would not accept that this means the fabric is not fit for purpose. If it was wine I would understand but WATER ! Dreadful, dreadful quality - don't waste your money. They even told me that they have lots of customer complaining about the same thing - yet they will not tell you that a drop of water means you cleaning the whole seat each time when they sell it to you !! This is avoidance knowing that their fabrics are not fit for purpose. And they think that's acceptable and they refused to send me their fabric test reports which proves they either haven't tested it properly or they do not want me to speak to the fabric manufacturer.

Please, please do not waste your hard earned money on anything from Sofology, they are crooks that sell shoodily built chairs and sofas. I bought a Heritage three piece suite which was delivered on the 19th of October. The sofa had some really bad grooves in the leather and one of the arms was all wrinkled. To cut a very long story shorter they sent the technician out who applied heat to it which fixed the problem, off he went. The following week I noticed two separate patches of colour coming off a cushion on the sofa and one on the chair. After a whole day on the phone to them with that dreadful music they play while you're on hold, out c9mes the technician again who tells me that if he sprays it it will come off again, so he gets the department to ring me who tell me to go and pick a new suite in store. I asked for the same one and was told there could be problems again, meaning they have no confidence in their own products. I agreed on the end to a 10% refund and the promise of two new cushions. However the leather is now peeling off the arm now and the central console of the sofa and last night I was badly injured after the reclining chair tipped me over. I'm now taking legal advice and would urge anyone not to buy from this company. It could have been a child or very elderly person.

Hi
I would really avoid this company , we bought the Karma suite 2 yrs ago , when it arrived I was thrilled it looked stunning but the next day I noticed the leather was lifting over the next 3 days more patches appeared , I rang the company who insisted on sending out an engineer 4 weeks later !! when he saw what was now multiple patches of worn off leather he said there was a fault with the leather so once again I rang them but they refused to do anything about it , after a heated argument and threating legal action they relented and agreed to replace the suite .
Three weeks later the replacement arrived complete with lifting leather which continued over to get worse over the following days so once again I rang and was ignored which was the way it continued.
I am now buying a new suite from a reputable dealer what a massive waste of 2, 500 plus the cost of another suite 2 years on , I just couldn't look at it anymore the patches are everywhere.... a horrible reminder as a massive waste of money.

well im at the end of my tether with sofology where do i start, all they do is lie and lie and make excuses or ignore u

i bought a leather 2 and 3 seater recliner off them 3 years ago and from the day it arrived the problems started, the electrics in 1 seat of the 3 seater didnt work and 2 seater was out of alignment, they put in a new motor a mth later, but refused to accept any probs with 2 seater, 2 mths later staples came out and they sorted it, it went on and on with small probs, seat sagging also and was told i had to sit on a different seat every day and my fault using this seat more, then 2 holes appeared,. after years of complaining and arguing with them they sent homeserve out, who admitted the 2 seater was out of alignment and sagging shouldnt have happened, 1 hole was due to bad leather quality in that area, the leather was starting to crack and come away, i had paid for the best leather also. i thought great at last it would be sorted. i got an email from them saying technician had said no faults on my suite case closed. i rang homeserve and they told me they werent allowed to give me any full details ,but they had informed sofology there were concerns with my suite, so more lies from sofology. they still wouldnt do anything, i went to ombudsman , who wrote to them and soon after they offered me a credit note for £1600 , the suite was £2500, they wouldnt budge on that, i was going on holiday for a mth so stupidly decided to accept as they had only given me a month to accept it and ombudsman were taking too long to reply

suite number 2 arrives i ordered a material one so i wouldnt have leather issues with 3 seater recliner and big chair with recliners end of sept
it arrived and straight away i wasnt happy , theres crinkles in some areas not in others it looks really odd, the back of 1 side of sofa is loose. i wanted it sent straight back but drivers assured me its just settling creases and will go in 1/2 weeks. the delivery guys took a chunk of wood out of top of my door frame, scratched some of my plaster and scratched 1 of my picture frames, i didnt notice til they left. the creases didnt go so they sent a technician out about a mth ago, he couldnt get creases out of 1 arm on chair and said need a new arm or chair, he had to re stuff some areas, he managed to fix sofa as delivery men hadnt connected it properly, he cut is finger and dripped blood on my new sofa but managed to clean it off, but ive got a big gap between the seats and they are not level in height and depth and now seat starting to sink . im so annoyed with this company

ive been on to them none stop for 7 weeks , they dont answer emails, dont answer calls unless you wait ages. they all tell you different things, was offered £65 to get all damages repaired no chance of that being enough. i was told to get a quote for the 2 frames 1 he damaged and 1 that matches and is next to other so cant have odd frames, they were 95 and 85 due to 1 a bit smaller, they are now back tracking and saying i shouldnt have been told that and due to me not telling them day this happened they are only going to give me £65. i had just lost my dad a few weeks before suite arrived and i was goin on holiday a few days after which they new about i had other things on my mind than to email them but i tried to ring them a few times but couldnt get through i knew their technician was coming in 2 weeks so thought i could speak to him about it and he took photos too. they are now saying the technician said theres nothing wrong with my suite , what a lie cos he told me there was.

ive got another technician coming in 2 weeks from homeserve to have a look at the suite but not damage to my house. ive written another complaint, i think im going to have to go down ombudsman route again, their customer care is absolutely shocking and appalling. ive now been batttling with them 3 1/2 years and its been a dreadful experience, AVOID this company
