I'm having the hardest time planning out the lounge! It's a pretty awkward space as the porch door is to the left and kitchen to the right, we need some kind of storage to the left of the TV as that's where the wires and plugs come out (the plan was to paint it light grey, add two shelves to the left and a kallax 2x2 under each side to hide the boxes but hate that idea, plus it's north facing). Everything in the room is going this week bar the two couches and rug. I love the idea of throws, cosy cushions, pops of colour, nice and functional but homey looking furniture, clean looking and good for kids but after a month on Pinterest I still don't know how that translates! And it's on a £200ish budget.

Please tell me what you'd do if it were your room Thanks

Glad you liked some of the ideas and they gave you some inspiration you wanted Storybrook Smile

You hadn't said you're good with a sewing machine, that's going to be a real boon, especially if you do make covers for the sofas.

There's a fair bit of choice around in both grey and mustard at the moment, so I think you'll find your budget stretches to most of what you want if you shop carefully.

I use pinterest to get ideas for when I want to decorate or add some new furniture maybe you should take a look I found a lot of great stuff on there. I was recently looking for a new coffee table but fell in love with a cowhide ottoman I found on pinterest which does the job plus more.

Sell unit under TV to boost your spend, take down wall shelves, buy a small bookcase to place under current wall shelves, buy coffee table that doubles as storage, maybe ottoman/chest. Keep mirror but lower and secure safely. Brighten up with cushions , candles , lighting . Colours? I would go for sage green, lime green, rust, orange or a blue .

Storybook, make sure you post pics when you're done! I like the idea of a trunk table to use as storage too.
