Me again. Was looking for opinions on a kitchen colour scheme, and I've narrowed it down to two. I think.
Large-ish room (6m x 4 m) in 10 year old house. Open fire, windows on two walls, plus patio doors. Units are Ikea Varde birch, plus there's a 60s freestanding unit I'm going to paint. Floor will be oak.
I'm considering:
-
Stiffkey Blue, with ceiling and woodwork in Slipper Satin (looks like a grey off white in this room, everything looks more blue than it would normally for some reason, Blackened looks like pale blue). I'd do the unit in Charlotte's Locks or Arsenic.
-
Breakfast Room Green, with Slipper Satin on the ceiling, Railings for the woodwork and either Charlotte's Locks or Stiffkey Blue for the unit. Reluctant to do the woodwork white as in a newish house I think it'll look a bit stark, a bit like apple green and white (garden centre cafe colours!).
Thinking of starting the ceiling colour about 2/3 of the way up the wall (or a bit more) to make the room look taller.
No tiles, we're either going to use a stainless steel splashback or gloss/eggshell that bit in the same colour as the wall.
What do you think?
