DFS sofa problem!

Hello, In January we bought a 2 seater sofa in DFS. We had a very pushy salesperson who initially tried to get us to have a 3 seater but we said we could only fit a 2 seater in. She did persuade us to go for a powered rather than manual recliner which pushed the price up but we refused all the other add on she tried to push. My husband did all the paperwork, we bought on 2 years interest free. Yesterday when I checked the receipt re delivery date I noticed that it said 3 seater Not 2 seater so rang the store. Spoke to same salesperson who is adamant that even though we were sitting on the 2 seater sofa we wanted we had asked for the 3 seater. The store manager was off duty and waiting for him to call today. Has anyone had similar experience? Where do you think we stand? I cannot physically fit a 3 seater in!! Thanks kelly.

You would have a period of time you can change your mind of a big purchase - especially on credit so should be no problem chaning the other - though I appreciate you didn't actually order it but your DH would have signed the paperwork saying 3 seater.

Thanks, just to let you know the outcome of this! Went to the store and spoke to the manager, had photos of what I had asked for, the salesperson tried to claim we had asked for the 3 seater , the manager asked for the receipts to be brought from office - I had mine with me, the salesperson did not return so the manager went to find her, when he came back he asked if we had met him before which we had not. The salesperson had tried to put the blame on him!! Anyway in the end they have ordered the 2 seater for us and Ali the manager was excellent as you rightly said my DH had not checked the order correctly before signing so we were on a sticky wicket really!! All ends well and impressed by Ali the manager at Beckton DFS. Kelly
