Recommend your 'go with everything' neutral grey paint brand & colour?

I purposefully used magnolia. I don't care how "unpopular" it might be, it is still a fabulous shade for warming and creating neutrality in a room. I have nothing but compliments on my home. I sound defensive, but really it is how you accessorise and pay attention to the colours of your furniture that will really make a difference. :)

Lovely Feminine.

Mine has just been done with Farrow and ball Wimborne White as I love cream but not too yellow. Lighter than Magnolia.

I would love some grey in my life but we have an old house full of beams and brown beams just don't go with grey walls no matter how much I wish they did!

My living room is Dulux Chic Shadow. It's a good soft true grey. I've had lots of compliments about it.

Thank you winter. Reading my post back though , l do a sound a bit dictatorial... sorry for that. :)

We have Crown Gallery White which I love.

F&B pavilion gray is beautiful.

Grey is the new brown, as in, have you ever stripped walls and found a layer of dark brown all over an entire room and struggled to imagine what the world looked like in the days when people actually thought that painting your house to look and feel like a cave with no light was a cool thing to do?

Selks · 21/12/2014 11:47

Why do people feel it's ok to be snide about grey walls? If you don't like grey fine, but others do. Unnecessarily rude.

Selks · 21/12/2014 11:48

Feminine, your magnolia walls look very nice.

noddyholder · 21/12/2014 11:55

Definitely far more grey in mass developments than magnolia nowadays. Colour is back mark my words within 2 years yellow and orange will be the new magnolia Grin

the neutral bas in our house is pale blue

Little Greene French Grey - we have the Light version in our bedroom and Mid version in our living room. Lovely. It does come out blueish in our house but not in other people's (oddly). Similar to Cornforth White but less mauve.

F&B Skimming Stone and Slipper Satin are also really useful neutrals. Slipper Satin is paler. I wouldn't call them grey so much as warm greige (nicer than that sounds though!).

anything is better than pale green (sorry mil :))
