Dining ideas

We moved into our house last Christmas & were planning a conservatory as a dining room. We then bought furniture for the living room to not include anywhere to eat. The kitchen is small & could possibly have room for a bar table but not a proper table.
Funds are now that we can't afford the conservatory :( We have spent the year eating our meals off our laps. Ds has a little table & chairs in the kitchen.
I'm now regretting the sofas etc but too late to do anything with that. Any ideas oh wise creative ones?!

Do you have more (or could you get more) of your kitchen floor tiles? You could maybe tile one of the ikea ones?!

Have you got room for one of these , with one flap down most of the time, with foldable chairs stowed for when needed

You could move DS's table and chair out of the kitchen to his room and get him a chair he can use at a full size table?

That folding one is great! Wonder how many people you could get at that.

Argos do a small round black table with chairs that fit right under when not in use.

Had another idea. I hate TVs on the wall but it takes up so much room. If we got rid of the stand we could have a sofa along the long wall. We did have an ikea glass thing to hang our old tv in our last place. I was happy to get rid but it's a bit ridiculous to have nowhere to eat except the garden!
What do you think?
