All the builders round me rave about Howden's kitchens

V well made and lots of options apparently

I've had 2 Howdens kitchens, very pleased.

Howdens supply to trade only, so you would need to order via your builder/fitter I think.

I cannot recommend ikea strongly enough for this. We got my absolute dream kitchen from there for under 1500 and it was a big space (no longer live there, sob!). They have pretty much every style you could wish for, you download the thingy and design it at home, then go in store and they'll tidy it up/adjust it to make it more practical/workable. If it comes out too expensive they'll sit with you and try different options till it's the right price/looks right. Compared to magnet style services they are by far the most transparent/honest in terms of actual price lists etc - it's all easy to see how much different things will cost. The fitters were amazing, efficient, polite and neat. I've had more 'expensive' kitchens since then and IMO the okra quality is just as good if not better (depending on what you pick obviously).

IKEA not okra!

I also liked my IKEA kitchen. Particularly the big drawers which are much more functional than cupboards. When I bought from them work tops weren't great so if I was getting one again I would get a work top from elsewhere

Magnet designed a kitchen for us but every time I went back to change something it got more expensive - even if what I was changing should have made it cheaper. In the end our architect recommended an independent kitchen fitter who was cheaper than magnet and came up with a much better design.
