Want to make a big change in kitchen .

First thing that has to go is the GREEN wallpaper

But cans decide ? Go whole hog with change of counter tops
And tiles

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but wonder if the OP made any decisions. Looks like it could be a really nice kitchen, and quite a nice prohect.

I had great success in a previous house with painting similar cupboards (from yellowy fake-wood to white). It was a labour of love, with all the prep and special primer, but they looked fab afterwards. If I had your kitchen, I'd definitely consider doing that again, plus I'd replace the worktops with solid wood, replace the tiles, and paint the door in white. Also agree with getting the microwave off the worktop, or at the very least, I'd shunt it right into the corner, which tends to be dead space.
