What type of paint to use on a wooden chest of drawers (rast)?

Hi everyone,

Want to paint a wooden chest of drawers I got from ikea, the 'rast' chest of drawers, wondering what type of paint I need and is there a paint that will work that is non toxic? (Being preggers an all )

I used Annie Sloan chalk paint. Love it!

Ooh how funny have just done this myself for baby's nursery! I just used some left over matt emulsion we had from painting kitchen ( nice olive green colour) and that went on fine, it had a low VOC content and I made sure room was well ventilated. Looks lovely even if I say so myself.

Think it will take most paints and finishes so I would just chose one you like with a low VOC and ventilate well. Happy painting!
