Passport questions - urgent!

I need someone to sign our passports as countersignatorys, if i get the chemist or bank manager to do it or someone on the list in authority does it matter if they havent known us for 2 years?

as long as they definitely say they know you, i dont think it matters. as long as they have a passport too

They will quite likely be called to confirm the info so be VERY careful-ok if they are prepared to lie!!

they HAVE to have passports to! oh crap so i would probably have to leave the forms there for them to get there passport number then collect them, god this is so not easy!
