DP is going to see DSS2, currently holed up in a prep school near Bristol. Any good restaurant recommendations for Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch, in Clifton/Whiteladies/Park Street/Watershed/Arnolfini zones?

Oooh tell me what sort of food you like/what you have in mind and I can advise

Good food - it's not for me but DP and DSS2 are definitely foodies.

Yes, I'm a foodie too and I actually get arsey if I get let down and send food back

On Whiteladies Road - there is an Aqua - very nice

In Clifton Village, there are a number of restaurants, a good sea food one a few doors down from the Somerfield (I can't remember the name), a Strada opposite - its a chain but pretty good Italian imo. There is also the standard Zizzi, Pizza Express etc and a couple of individual restaurants

In Cabot Circus, which is the main town part, they have an Asian place called Tampopo - similar to Budokan. There is a Zizzi, Gourmet Burger place and a Carluccios in Quakers Friars. There is also a Raymond Blanc gastro style place near Carluccios - I highly recommend that - had the most beautiful steak there and the wait staff are very good

In Clifton Triangle, there is a Lebanese called Sands - that's pretty good

The Waterfront gets a bit chavvy in the evening so its better to have lunch there rather than evening meal imo...the Firehouse Rotisserie (sp) has had great reviews, but I haven't actually been there

I hope this helps a bit?

I do like my food - can't you tell

The Lockside is a bit of a stroll past the waterfront but is good for brunch.
