Camping near Souiliac with our 2 year old in September. Any tips or suggestions as to where to go or things to do. went to the same place last year but she was easier to entertain!

When our DCs were little we would only go out for a half day anywhere that we liked and then spend the second half of the day on site using the pool & playgrounds etc. This way the DCs got to learn that life is not all about them. They are now as keen as us to go and visit castles & caves.

There are lovely places to visit in Dordogne:

  • Sarlat is beautiful
  • Rocamadour
  • Domme
  • Various grottes

They are all lovely places to visit. Not particularly interesting to children but at 2 most DCs are more interested with being with parents anyway.

It is well worth getting to places early as that will be much easier for parking. You can then leave early and get to the pool.

When our DCs were around 2 we used backpacks rather than buggies as they were much easier to get around with and DCs loved being up high.

I hope you have a lovely time.
