Is it likely to be busy at Legoland tomorrow Fri 18th June

My sons school has a training day tomorrow and the weather looks good so I'm thinking of taking them to Legoland.

Does anyone know how busy it's likely to be on a school day? We will have quite a long drive so trying to decide if we need to get up early and be there for opening.

I would say not on the basis that most schools are not on holiday and England are playing so a lot of people will probably want to make sure they're home in plenty time to watch the match

We were in Legoland on Friday past and it wasn't busy at all. We didn't have to queue for any of the rides. It seemed to get busier after 3 but still no queues. It was a great day out and I really recommend it.

Thanks both

Lima - I hadn't even thought about the football being on tomorrow, good job DH is a rugby fan or that might have scuppered the plan.

Beckie - good to hear you enjoyed it and would recommend, think i'm more excited than the kids about going now.

The issue in the area is the road traffic, as it's Royal Ascot week.
There are diversion signs up and from comments on Legolands Facebook page it appears that it is best to follow the diversion routes if you want to keep moving at a reasonable speed.

Tomorrow (Friday 18th June) racing takes place 2.30pm to 5.35pm, so morning traffic should not be too bad, though I expect will build from around 11am (today at around 11.30am the A30 from Egham to Sunningdale was one long queue) - so avoid the A30!

Traffic leaving Legoland and heading to the M4 is always busy, though expect it to be extra busy tomorrow from around 5pm onwards as the Ascot race goers leave the course.

So Legoland itself should be fine, just be prepared for traffic delays.

Did you go - how was it... and was the traffic a nightmare?

I popped to winsdor this morning, flippin horses and carriages and limos everywhere!

Hope you had a great day!

We did go and we had a fab time
Ended up going early anyway as the kids were up and raring to go at 6.00am!

Thanks nannynick for the tip about the diversion, followed the alternative route and didn't hit any traffic on the way there but was really busy on the way back, left legoland at about 4.30pm and queued most of the way to the M4

Wasn't too busy in the park although there were alot of school groups, only ride we had to queue for was the Lazer rider, took ages to get through but kids liked it, no queues at all for the viking rapids ride so we got very wet before heading home.
